Surprisingly, we have not yet had a mock draft published for this upcoming season. So to fill the gap, I thought I’d throw one together. Feel free to leave comments, it’d be fun to get a discussion going on the topic.
1. Kelly’s Heroes– Wyatt Langford- OF- Tex
JK will take the top bat in the draft who will provide value as soon as this year.
2. G.I. Zo’s- Yoshinobu Yamamoto- SP- LaD
If you didn’t know, Zobrack has yellow fever and takes a possible ace on a great Dodgers team.
3. BROB’s Barnacles– Walker Jenkins- OF- Min
Clarkson passes on Crews and his questions to grab the Twins future stud.
4. Kelly’s Heroes– Paul Skenes- SP- Pit
After grabbing maybe the best bat already, JK grabs what may be the best arm in the draft.
5. Baby Seals- Dylan Crews- OF- Was
The Crews fall stops here, with Fred happily grabbing him.
6. Danimals– Jung Hoo Lee- OF- SF
Dan never drafts according to convention, and he grabs a young plug and play OF who may get 200 hits
7. The Big Units- Matt Shaw- SS- ChC
The biggest helium prospect post MLB draft, Carrol grabs a stud who may also play in ‘24
8. Your Mom– Aidan Miller- 3B- Phi
Ray’s first 1st round pick in 11 years and he takes the best HS bat that has certain power
9. Banocolates- Max Clark- OF- Det
Jeff is willing to bet on Clark finding power and happily takes him at 9
10. BROB’s Barnacles– Colt Emerson- SS- Sea
Another big helium prospect, Clarkson may have a real steal with this pick
11. BROB’s Barnacles– Bryce Eldridge- OF- SF
Clarkson follows Emerson with another incredible talent who will take some time to develop
12. Kelly’s Heroes– Kyle Teel- C- Bos
JK grabs the safest, closest catcher who will fetch JK the best return when he trades him in 2025
13. Kelly’s Heroes– Leodalis De Vries- SS- SD
After grabbing last year’s J2 darling, JK grabs a 16 year old with a mile high ceiling
14. Kelly’s Heroes– Noble Meyer- SP- Mia
And now JK takes the highest ceiling HS pitcher, to continue to diversify his draft class.
15. Kelly’s Heroes– Brock Wilken- 3B- Mil
To finish his draft buffet, JK gets the dessert of a power hitting, relatively close corner infield
16. Pro Bowlers– Hurston Waldrep- SP- Atl
Pat grabs and arm that can likely help him this year to solidify his rotation.
