Summary
This ranking should come as little surprise to anyone. JK made a point to sell off his farm system to compete this season and has sunk to the bottom of the rankings as a result.
Looking through his farm, it’s tough to find a jewel that should be coveted by all. Heck, hard to find a favorite. Out of his top tier of prospects, none of the names particularly stand out to me, although I think I like Logan Davidson and Zach DeLoach. I’ve always had a soft spot for Jake McCarthy. Isaiah Greene, Grant Lavigne and Malcolm Nunez all ring a bell. Patrick Murphy was an opportunity flyer I owned for a little bit, and could be an SP6 some day. I like Siani and Morel as non-IFA lottery tickets. Zack Burdi will forever be interesting. Those are unfortunately all of the positive notes I could think of for this farm.
However, not all is lost! When weighting his system linearly, and ranking out of entire farm systems, the Kelly’s Heroes rank 9th overall. What I think this would suggest is that JK has a large number of mid and low-tiered prospects, as the linear system values those groups higher. Further investigation into his organization reveals 28 prospects graded 45/high or equivalent or higher. Perhaps that is a lot. I’m honestly not sure.
In looking towards the future, this organization does boast the gretaest number of 2021 IFA’s (7) by my count. Perhaps realizing that he was going to have to take risks to restock his farm, JK went with the high risk/high reward lottery tickets. Or, maybe he does this every year. I have no idea.
Either way, JK had a plan, and has followed through on it admirably. Well done good sir. Best of luck in 2021.
